Calvin Swart is an ocean scientist whose research focuses on marine biogeochemistry and ecosystem processes in the open ocean.

His work involves oceanographic field sampling, biogeochemical observations, and studies of plankton dynamics and nutrient cycling across marine ecosystems.

As part of SUBSEA and Hawaiʻi Ocean Time-series cruises, he contributes to collaborative efforts investigating the ecological and biogeochemical functioning of the North Pacific subtropical gyre.
