2025 OBVI Workshop recap

The first OBVI workshop on Primary Production came to a successful conclusion on December 12, 2025. This two week workshop offered early career OBVI scientists opportunities to learn about primary production as a key process in the ocean, including building a conceptual foundation for how studying primary production is critical to ocean biogeochemistry, developing new skills related to data analyses, and networking with peers, all with the beautiful backdrop of University of Hawai’i. The workshop included 24 early career OBVI scientists, representing 4 of the OBVI projects. Workshop activities were overseen by 14 instructors across various OBVI projects. Thank you to workshop conveners, instructors, and participants for a fruitful and enjoyable two weeks!
